Doors open 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start
On arrival, you’ll receive a glass of bubbles or juice, sponsored by Encore Event Coordination and have the opportunity to grab a few snaps at the Encore Photobooth. There will also be nibbles, kindly supplied by Speight’s Ale House, Dunedin.
Then collect your Southern Bride “best day ever” reusable canvas bag, filled with helpful wedding planning goodies: a pen, notepad, a wedding planning checklist, NZ Bride and Groom Magazine, a gorgeous embroidered hanky from Veronica and Me, compact mirror from Jan Lane Beauty Therapy. Angela Port Celebrant and Beau Couture have a couple of treats instore for you too! VIPs will also receive a little white book (RRP $69), KILT Clothing styling evening voucher, and a bridal party proposal wine label from Be My Guest.
You’ll then be treated to a jam-packed evening of helpful wedding planning advice, brought to you by a range of top-notch wedding vendors.
We’ll also be drawing spot prizes throughout the night, including an engagement photo shoot with Still Waters Photography NZ to one lucky attendee on the night. This includes the sitting fee and all images edited and supplied on USB – valued at $699.
SHORT, PRACTICAL WEDDING PLANNING TIPS
Our MC, celebrant Sharyn Payne, will kick things off and keep the night flowing smoothly. Speakers include:
- Wedding Photographer Kate, from Still Waters Photography is going to share her expert advice on picking the right wedding photographer for you, some tips and tricks for your wedding day, plus what to do with your photos once you have them back
- NZ Beauty Therapist of the Year for 2015/16, Sophie – owner of Harmony Skin and Beauty will cover off getting that ‘bridal glow’ (aka Meghan Markle’s wedding day skin): what you can do to prep your skin before the big day, how you can look after yourself in the lead up, and then will cover off some makeup artistry tips too.
- Event coordinator/wedding planner Leah from Encore Event Coordination will cover off choosing your wedding vendors and how to get the most out of them
- and Southern Bride editor Amanda Cookson will share some tips on battling wedding planning overwhelm and wedding budgeting
The talented Williams & Co Kitchen Limited will be along with cake samples! On the menu is Lemon & poppy seed, Red Velvet, and Moist Choc. Yum!
