Wording Template for Creating your Wedding Order Of Service

Your wedding Order of Service (also known as a wedding program or service sheet) is usually handed out by ushers to guests as they arrive.  It’s relatively simple to put one together, but since it is often one of those last minute jobs  it can feel really stressful trying to decide what goes in and what stays out. So we’ve put together some helpful resources, including an Order of Service Wording Template, to make this last minute wedding admin a bit easier for you.

Why have an Order of Service at our wedding?

Handing out an Order of Service gives you the opportunity to communicate to guests lots of additional information about how your wedding day will run. It makes a lovely memento for your wedding guests too!  Watch the video below or read on for the information you should include in your order of service.

Like much of the wedding stationery, knowing what needs to be included (and what can be omitted) is a bit of a battle.  This wedding order of service wording template (created for us by Southern Bride Verified Vendor Be My Guest) will give you a guide to write your own wedding program. What formats do Wedding Order of Service’s come in?

Most of the time, couples opt for a folded piece of paper, or a flat piece of card:

With a bit of creative thinking, you can have your Order of Service do double duty, and use your wedding programs as a fan:

Sometimes one large poster-board is put out on display, and this can do the same job, but without the need for ushers and sometimes at a lower cost:
